Our client is an established global manufacturing, logistics and distribution Company. The company’s trading activities ranges from; chemicals, steel, polymers, spare parts, paper, wood, cement and water soluble fertilizer. They are looking to hire a Sales Market Developer for Food Ingredients and Additives, who will be instrumental in:
Key Responsibilities
- Developing the Market: Craft and implement aggressive strategies to expand our presence in the food ingredients and additives sector.
- Customer Engagement: Actively expand our customer base through strategic networking and regular interactions.
- Market Analysis: Segment the Kenyan market to identify and capitalize on growth opportunities, supported by meticulous market research and reporting.
- Portfolio Management: Curate a product portfolio that leverages our global strengths and local capabilities to maximize market penetration.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with various departments to ensure quick resolution of issues and provide exceptional service to our customers.
- Product Development: Lead initiatives to develop new products based on detailed analysis of market needs.
Skills & Qualifications
- A degree in Chemical Engineering or Nutrition is highly advantageous.
- At least 5 years of experience in B2B sales, specifically in food ingredients and additives. Your experience should reflect success in both commodity and semi-specialty products.
- Strategic Savvy: Strong capability in navigating competitive markets and managing significant customer relationships.
- Skills: Excellent coordination and interaction abilities, capable of working effectively with global teams.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and strong negotiation and influential skills.
- Strong relationship management ability.
- Ability to build reports and forecast on sales as well as trends.
- Must be an opportunity seeker, have the ability to take initiative, can do attitude, adaptable to a fast paced culture and have a positive outlook.
- Must be the best at what they do and go the extra mile, needs to be flexible, customer-focused, and consistent and provide top quality service.
- Must have Team spirit and be able to work within a Team and empower one another, no personal agenda.
