Overview: 

Our client, a leading organization in the milling, baking, and retail sectors, is committed to excellence, innovation, and community service. They are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of production operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production management, extensive hands-on experience, and a proven track record in leading production teams to achieve operational excellence.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Production Management:

  • Oversee and manage all production activities to ensure efficient and timely output of high-quality products.
  • Develop and implement production plans and schedules to meet demand and maximize resource utilization.
  • Monitor production processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of production staff, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
  • Conduct regular training and development programs to enhance team skills and knowledge.

Quality Control:

  • Ensure all products meet quality standards and specifications through rigorous quality control measures.
  • Implement and maintain quality assurance processes to minimize defects and ensure consistency.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Ensure all production activities comply with local regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards.

Resource Management:

  • Manage production resources, including raw materials, equipment, and labor, to optimize efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Maintain inventory levels, ensuring availability of necessary materials for uninterrupted production.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and innovations to incorporate new technologies and methods into production.

Reporting:

  • Prepare and present production reports to senior management, providing insights into operational performance and areas for improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records of production activities, quality control, and compliance documentation.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Production Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field from a recognized institution.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in production management, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control, and resource management.
  • Proficiency in production planning and scheduling.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
