Floor Supervisor

Job Summary:

The Floor Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations on assigned floors within the hotel, ensuring high standards of guest service and room quality. This role involves managing housekeeping staff, coordinating with other departments, and addressing any issues to provide an exceptional guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Staff Supervision: Lead and manage housekeeping staff on the assigned floor, including room attendants and housekeepers. Conduct training, assign tasks, and ensure staff adhere to hotel policies and procedures.
  • Guest Service: Address guest requests, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally. Ensure that guest needs are met and resolve any issues to maintain a high level of satisfaction.
  • Room Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and adherence to hotel standards. Implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Coordination: Work closely with the Front Desk and other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination for room assignments, special requests, and service needs. 
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit reports on floor operations, including staff performance, guest feedback, and any maintenance issues. Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Problem Solving: Address and resolve any operational issues or challenges that arise, including staffing, guest complaints, or maintenance problems.
  • Hands-on product knowledge of cleaning chemicals
  • Ability to work long hours and under pressure
  • Strong work Ethics and can work with minimum supervision
  • Knowledge of a foreign language is an added advantage

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of form four level of education
  • College Diploma / Certificate in Housekeeping & Laundry or Hospitality/Institutional Management from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum 05 year experience as a senior guest room attendant in a busy 4 or 5 star Hotel
  • Proof of attendance to at least 01 supervision course or internal training on supervision (provide documentation)
  • Previous experience as a floor supervisor in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
