Location: Last mile areas of Narok, Kajiado, Baringo, Isiolo

Job Purpose:

  • Sell products in wholesale business to customers located on routes that are in deep rural areas.
  • Develop sales strategies aimed at meeting sales targets, agreed margins, follow up on sales leads, and build long-lasting relationships with customers to retain business and promote new business.

Key Responsibilities:

Principal Accountabilities/Key result areas:

  • Meet sales margin target.
  • Sell to end retailers and end consumers and issue detailed analysis of the performance of each route in terms of sales and gross profit after every trip.
  • Responsible for new business acquisition, customer satisfaction and route performance.
  • Preparing weekly and monthly sales reports and providing the supervisor with customer database.
  • Deliver products to customer, Loading and offloading
  • Regular market price analysis to ensure MWINGI adapts its prices in time.
  • Identify opportunities for growth and sales channels to achieve better overall performance of our units of sale.
  • Ensure all cash sales are banked and all stocks balance as per the system stocks.
  • Evaluate and analyze types of customers who shop at the MWINGI wholesale, basket value, the occasion they shop for, the brand they prefer, price consciousness, packing size preferred etc.
  • Monitor customer feedback and handle customer issues in courteous, prompt manner in order to maintain loyal partnership with all customers
  • Concentrate on fast moving stock and limit the number of slow-moving SKUs to ensure the company runs on lean processes and costs.
  • Ensure implementation of FIFO policy and minimize expiries of goods

Knowledge; Skills and Experience

  • Must have a Diploma in any business-related studies.
  • Must have at least 3 years sales experience dealing with FMCG.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to sell do sell through POS.
  • Able to influence sales from retailers and other customers.
  • Inventory management & analytical skills
  • Cash management skills.
  • Proactive and results oriented.
  • Well organized.
  • Great at time management.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • High integrity.
