Job Description

• The Technologist, KEWI 7 reports to the Senior Technologist KEWI 6.

Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail: -

• Providing support in organizing and preparing for specific practical sessions in the laboratories;
• Providing support in maintaining laboratory facilities and training aids,
• Assist in fabrication of project assignment;
• Ensuring safety of training equipment and facilities;
• Operating and maintaining training equipment and tools;
• Implementing guidelines for students with special needs;
• Developing service schedule for equipment.

Person Specifications

For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:

• Served for a cumulative period of six 6 years relevant work experience, three 3 of which should have been at the grade of Technologist II or in a comparable position;
• Diploma in Water / Irrigation Engineering or its equivalent qualification from a recognised Institution.
• Certificate in Training of Trainers TOT course or its equivalent lasting not less than six 6 months from a recognised Institution holders of Certificate in Education are exempted;
• Proficiency in computer applications; and
• Shown Merit and ability reflected in work performance and results.
