Brief Description

The candidate will install, service, maintain and repair all electrical installations, panels, generators, and other power supplies for service delivery safely and cost-effectively across the KQ network in Kenya and Outstations.

Detailed Description

Principal Accountabilities (Responsibility)

  • Plan and manage facilities maintenance activities.
  • Install, service, maintain and repair electrical-related equipment and installations for service delivery in a cost-effective manner.
  • Assess defects on electrical installations, perform root cause analysis, and carry out corrective measures.
  • Effectively respond to emergency breakdowns for timely service delivery.
  • Carryout overhauls on major equipment components which include Electrical panels, generators, and other electrical and electrical-related systems.
  • Identify and requisition materials for the task at hand to ensure the timely release and availability of facilities and installations.
  • Ensure a safe and secure work environment for self, fellow colleagues, and equipment to maximize productivity.
  • Maintain up-to-date maintenance records.
  • Offer quality workmanship on all facilities to project the organization’s image positively.

Job Requirements

Qualification (Minimum)

  • Diploma/Certificate in Electrical Engineering
  • KCSE C PLAIN
  • 5 Years ’Experience.
  • Ability to read, understand &interpret approved maintenance documentation, MSDS, and electrical drawings.
  • Team membership knowledge
  • Ability to use electrical tools e.g drill

Other Skills

  • Identification & recommendation of systems/areas that require upgrade or replacement.
  • Airside vehicles driving approval by KAA and KCA
  • Computer literate.
  • Installing and maintaining electrical system, equipment and devices.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and procedures.
  • Testing equipment and systems.
  • Using and maintaining hand and power tools, such as screwdrivers, pliers and drills.
