Key Responsibilities

  • Planning and Designing of both Private and Public Cloud Infrastructure, Servers, Storage, Linux/Unix, Windows, Microsoft Office 365, Email Security Gateway, Virtualization Hypervisors and Datacentres requirements as per the business plan and technology.
  • Installation/configuration of both Private and Public Cloud Infrastructure, Servers, Storage, Linux/Unix, Windows, Microsoft Office 365 Monitoring and Capacity Planning as per the IT policies/ Standards and providing guidance to the users on its features and usage to ensure its proper use and improvement in performance.
  • Maintain detailed documentation for system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Support, Maintenance. Patching and Administration of servers both physical and virtual, including hardware, OS Windows, SAN Storage, OVM, Linux and Windows products.
  • Ensure system configurations meet regulatory and industry security standards.
  • Maintain Active Directory such as creating accounts, troubleshooting authentication, configuring domain controllers, managing DNS and DHCP, and implementing group policies.
  • Desktop support; serve as an escalation point for the service desk team and backup for activities including direct end-user support.
  • Disaster readiness is maintained as agreed and ensures regular DR exercises are done as per the Policy.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Certification and/or knowledge in the following areas would be preferred:
  • Microsoft Certified: Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 - Certified Solutions Associate MCSA
  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate
  • Microsoft Certified: Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 - Certified IT Professional CITP
  • VMware Certified Professional - Data Centre Virtualization VCP-DCV
  • Any of the Core Systems Administration Certifications listed below:
  • CompTIA Server+
  • Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate
  • Linux Professional Institute Certification LPIC-1 or LPIC-2
  • Red Hat Certified System Administrator RHCSA
  • Any of the Cloud Infrastructure Certifications listed below:
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Enterprise administrator expert, etc.
  • AWS Certified SysOps Administrator -Associate, AWS Certified Solutions Architect- Associate etc.
  • Business Continuity planning experience would be an added advantage.
  • ITIL Service Level Management certification is an added advantage.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years working experience in a busy IT environment with a hands-on role in implementing and supporting Enterprise Storage Solutions; Proxy Server; Email Security Gateway; SharePoint; Teams for Business; Virtualization both on-prem and public cloud.
  • Experience in the BFSI Banking, Financial Services and Insurance sector will be an added advantage and how Information Technology contributes to the success of financial institutions.

Competencies

  • Demonstrable track record in managing Linux platforms, Windows Enterprise servers and UNIX systems, HP Server Platforms rack mount and blades, PowerShell scripting, MS System Centre SCCM, SCOM Configuration, Office 365 Exchange Online, One Drive for Business, SharePoint Online, Active Directory Services and 3rd Party Vendor Management.
  • Good understanding of backup processes and experience in backup and recovery tools.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies, Network Attached Storage NAS and Various server products HP, Dell etc. and platforms rack mount and blades
  • Strong knowledge in Microsoft 365 and Azure subscription
  • Proven experience in system management software and tools such as PowerShell scripting, SCCM, Intune, Endpoint Central etc.
