ABOUT THE ROLE

Key responsibilities for the role include: 

Student Enrichment Leadership & Strategy

  • Provide leadership and management of the Student Connections Programme aimed at developing students’ character, capabilities and connections through exposure to local, regional and global events. 
  • Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Student Enrichment Programme across both Cambridge and CBE campuses.
  • Ensure alignment to Nova Pioneer’s culture principles and student experience priorities.
  • Develop annual enrichment calendars, strategic plans, and budgets.

Clubs Management Across CBE & Cambridge

  • Coordinate all clubs scheduling, space allocation, recruitment of patrons/vendors, onboarding and offboarding of patrons/vendors, preparation of objectives, sign-up, sign up confirmations, awards/certificates, budgeting, reporting, etc.
  • Coordinate all clubs: scheduling, space allocation, sign-ups, confirmations, onboarding and offboarding patrons/vendors.
  • Oversee preparation of club objectives, session plans, attendance tracking, and end-of-term showcases.
  • Manage special billing with accuracy and fidelity
  • Conduct club walkthroughs, observation and feedback cycles and 1:1 with club patrons/matrons. 
  • Ensure quality assurance and strong value-for-money across all clubs.
  • Create quality communication on outcomes for clubs. 
  • Lead the planning and coordination of the Club Experience for Parents.

Sports, Arts & Competitions

  • Identify, prepare, and guide students for participation in internal and external competitions, including sports, music, drama, debating, STEM, scouting, and other talent arenas.
  • Support the development of competitive school teams and cultivate a culture of school spirit and pride.

Trips & Events Leadership 

  • Lead the planning, logistics, safety, and execution of all school trips curricular, co-curricular, local, regional.
  • Plan and run campus-wide events with High Expectations such as:
    • Student festivals
    • Talent shows
    • Sports days
    • Career days
    • Prize-giving ceremonies
    • Cultural days
    • Graduations
  • Ensure all trips and events are well communicated, well staffed, well documented, and aligned to Nova’s culture and safety expectations..

Professional Development for Teammates

  • Plan and facilitate PD sessions for teachers and non-instructional staff on enrichment programming clubs, games, competitions, student engagement.
  • Strengthen coaching, systems, and clarity for staff leading enrichment components.

 Leadership & Vendor Management

  • Manage all direct reports sports/PE coaches, club patrons, music teachers, interns.
  • Recruit, onboard, supervise, and evaluate external enrichment vendors and partners.

Operations, Communication & Administration

  • Maintain accurate records, rosters, inventories, and reports for enrichment activities.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders—students, parents, staff, and vendors.
  • Prepare termly and annual reports on enrichment outcomes, participation, and impact.

Culture & Student Experience

  • Champion Nova Pioneer’s culture principles across all enrichment spaces.
  • Ensure safe, inclusive, joyful, and structured student experiences.
  • Support interdisciplinary student life initiatives in collaboration with Deputy School Leaders, Deans and Associate Deans.  

All Hands on Deck” Responsibilities

  • Support school-wide events, emergencies, and special initiatives as required.
  • Represent the student enrichment function in leadership meetings and planning sessions.

ABOUT YOU

Skills and Qualifications required

  • You have a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Communication or Education
  • Masters degree is not compulsory but will be an added advantage.
  • You have a strong record of leading students to successful participation in inter-school competitions preferably up to the national level and beyond. E.g. in drama, music, STEM, debating, sports, scouting, etc. 
  • You have excellent interpersonal and leadership skills that encompass trust and respect
  • You have excellent communication and people management skills
  • You are flexible, adaptable, innovative and creative
  • You understand the complexities of working in a fast-paced, multi-faceted organization
  • You have a passion for students and student competitions
  • You have high energy levels and are known for producing great results with students
  • You are excited about our organizational culture—and in particular, you are fired up to challenge yourself by embracing mutual vulnerability and a firehose of feedback
  • You have a desire to further develop your learning design skills and apply them to transform the lives of African youth
