  • Basic salary: KES. 55,373.00 p.m- KES. 85,250. 00 p.m
  • House allowance: KES. 31,845 .00 p.m
  • Commuter allowance: KES.10,000.00 p.m.

Job specification
The duties and responsibilities entail assisting in:

  • Attending weekly staff meetings.
  • Collating of information for the preparation of a quarterly sports
  • Organizing daily sports training programs for students to ensure that students are trained effectively in readiness for competitions as scheduled.
  • Distributing sports’ wear and equipment on a regular basis to replace worn out jerseys and faulty equipment thereby promoting sports activity.
  • Book transport for sports outing on a weekly basis to ensure that participants attend competitions in time.
  • Inspecting sports fields and their usability to ensure that any problems are fixed and they are properly utilized on a daily basis.
  • Supervising the marking and routine maintenance of sports facilities to ensure they are always in good conditions in readiness for competitions.
  • Carrying out in regularly organizing sporting events and creating awareness of the sporting activities in the University to encourage participation by students.
  • Identifying and recruit potential students into different sports to encourage participation and improve the status of sports in the University as and when necessary.

Person Specification

For appointment to this post, a candidate must:

  • Have a Bachelor’s Degree in in Physical Education or its equivalent from an accredited and recognized university.
  • Have at least four 4 years relevant working experience;
  • Have sound knowledge of coaching and training a wide range of sports disciplines.
  • Have technical, specialist or analytical skills acquired through tertiary education or the equivalent experience.
  • Be Proficient in computer applications.
  • Satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya on Leadership and Integrity upon successful appointment.
