Job Description

• The Senior Hospitality Officer, KEWI 6 reports to the Principal Hospitality Officer KEWI 5.

Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail: -

• Providing quality catering, housekeeping, accommodation and conferencing services at the school;
• Updating records and inventory of housekeeping and catering facilities and equipment;
• Taking stock of housekeeping and catering commodities, materials and stuff;
• Monitoring compliance to health, safety and environmental regulations in the provision of hospitality services;
• Conducting customer satisfaction surveys;
• Preparing duty roster for junior staff;
• Preparing hospitality service work plans; and
• Supervising staff.

Person Specifications

• For appointment to this grade, an officer must have: - Served for a cumulative period of six 6 years relevant work experience, three 3 in the grade of Hospitality Officer I or in a comparable position;
• Bachelor’s degree in either Hotel and Catering Management or Hotel and Hospitality Management or its equivalent qualifications from a recognised institution;
• Certificate of medical examination in line with the Food, Drugs and Chemical Substance Act;
• Membership to a relevant professional body and in good standing where applicable;
• Proficiency in computer applications; and
• Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
