Our client is a fast-growing logistics and freight forwarding company offering comprehensive supply chain solutions across air and sea freight. With a strong focus on customer service, operational excellence, and tailored logistics solutions, they are looking to expand their presence in the Kenyan market through a results-oriented sales professional.
They are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Executive to drive revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities, building long-term client relationships, and closing freight forwarding deals. The ideal candidate will have proven success in air and sea freight sales, with a strong ability to convert leads into loyal customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Business Development

  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities in air and sea freight forwarding.
  • Conduct cold calls, client visits, and walk-ins to initiate conversations and generate leads.
  • Provide customized freight quotes and actively follow up to close deals.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve and exceed set targets.
  • Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and client demands.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in client organizations.
  • Understand client logistics needs and offer tailored, cost-effective solutions.
  • Act as the main point of contact for customer queries, providing timely updates on order status and addressing concerns promptly.

Coordination & Internal Collaboration

  • Work closely with the operations and customer service teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Share market insights and contribute to continuous process improvements within the sales team.

Reporting & Performance Tracking

  • Maintain accurate sales records, customer interactions, and pipeline activities using CRM tools.
  • Prepare regular reports on sales performance, forecasts, and market intelligence for management review.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

Education

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of proven sales experience in freight forwarding (air and sea freight).
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Existing network or customer base within the logistics and freight forwarding industry is a strong advantage.

Skills

  • Deep understanding of freight forwarding operations and logistics solutions.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Results-driven mindset with a focus on customer satisfaction and revenue growth.

Technology Proficiency

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.

Other Requirements

Willingness to travel locally for client meetings and business development activities.
