Job Purpose
To develop, expand, and promote high-quality LED Screen Commercial Display product lines within Kenya. The Sales Engineer will be instrumental in driving sales by identifying and securing new opportunities, maintaining relationships with key accounts, and expanding the customer base in the commercial display sector.
The employee will contribute by:
- Expanding customer base by acquiring new small, medium, and large-sized business customers in the commercial display market.
- Identifying and securing ongoing business relationships with new customers.
- Maintaining and growing relationships with existing key accounts.
- Leveraging technical expertise and industry experience to effectively market commercial display solutions.
- Ensuring effective self-management, planning, and delivery of the designated workload.
Overview of Key Duties & Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Be responsible for selling Interactive LED Screen Commercial Display products in the Kenyan market.
- Develop and implement strategies to expand key customer base, targeting businesses such as schools, corporate offices, conference centers, retail stores, and more.
- Secure face-to-face meetings with potential customers through networking, referrals, and direct outreach.
- Close sales opportunities by presenting tailored solutions and securing ongoing business relationships through contracts.
- Collaborate with the technical team to conduct site surveys to understand customer needs and recommend the most appropriate product configurations.
- Collaborate with the technical team to deliver product demonstrations and staff training for customers.
- Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers through regular check-ins, email updates, and meetings.
- Cross-sell other products where appropriate to meet customer needs.
- Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to inform sales strategies.
- Uphold reputation by demonstrating professionalism, ethical selling practices, and technical expertise.
Requirements
Education:
- Degree or Diploma in Business, Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics), or a related technical field.
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in sales within the commercial display industry, specifically LED screens.
- Proven track record of working with commercial display companies and dealing directly with these product lines.
- Familiarity with selling to end users, distributors, and contractors in the corporate and education sectors.
- B2B sales experience
Skills:
- Strong technical understanding of commercial display products and their applications.
- Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Highly customer-focused with a quality-oriented approach.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and capable of managing multiple tasks effectively.
- Languages: Fluent in English.
- Attributes: Determined, innovative, and adept at building long-term business relationships.
