Position Overview
- The Sales Assistant supports the retail or sales team by providing excellent customer service, assisting with product sales, and maintaining store presentation. This role is vital in ensuring customers have a positive shopping experience and that sales targets are met.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers in selecting products that meet their needs.
- Provide detailed information about product features, benefits, and promotions.
- Operate point-of-sale POS systems to process transactions accurately.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns professionally.
- Maintain store cleanliness, product displays, and stock organization.
- Assist in inventory management, including stock counts and replenishment.
- Support promotional activities and contribute to achieving sales targets.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations.
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma in Sales or equivalent; further education in Business, Marketing, or Retail is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of sales techniques and customer service practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with POS systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills
- Previous experience in retail or customer service.
- Ability to upsell and cross-sell products.
- Problem-solving skills and adaptability in fast-paced environments.
