Position Overview

  • The Sales Assistant supports the retail or sales team by providing excellent customer service, assisting with product sales, and maintaining store presentation. This role is vital in ensuring customers have a positive shopping experience and that sales targets are met.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist customers in selecting products that meet their needs.
  • Provide detailed information about product features, benefits, and promotions.
  • Operate point-of-sale POS systems to process transactions accurately.
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns professionally.
  • Maintain store cleanliness, product displays, and stock organization.
  • Assist in inventory management, including stock counts and replenishment.
  • Support promotional activities and contribute to achieving sales targets.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma in Sales or equivalent; further education in Business, Marketing, or Retail is an advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of sales techniques and customer service practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with POS systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Previous experience in retail or customer service.
  • Ability to upsell and cross-sell products.
  • Problem-solving skills and adaptability in fast-paced environments.
