Location: Nairobi
Our client, a Wildlife Conservancy located in Kenya is seeking to hire a Research Analyst who will play a pivotal role in gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data to support informed decision-making. This position focuses on identifying trends, evaluating opportunities, and providing actionable insights to enhance organizational strategies. The Research Analyst will assess potential donors, markets, and competitors using various research tools and data sources, ensuring data accuracy, supporting strategic
planning, and collaborating with stakeholders to drive organizational success.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis on individual, corporate, and foundation donors and prospects, using a variety of sources, tools, and techniques.
- Prepare detailed profiles, ratings, and qualified lists to support the organization’s fundraising strategies.
- Proactively offer data-driven recommendations on next steps to team members.
- Track research findings in Salesforce and assist with the organization's efforts to acquire and maintain institutional data, adhering to best practices in data management.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to assess the feasibility and scope of research requests and special projects.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, Research, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar role, with at least one year in the non-profit or higher education sector (or an equivalent field).
- Experience in prospect research or demonstrated proficiency in related fields such as library science, legal research, etc.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in research techniques such as prospect identification, data mining, and relationship mapping.
- Ability to read and interpret business, government, and legal documents.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to analyze, interpret, synthesize, and present complex information effectively.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and shifting priorities.
- General knowledge of best practices in database management.
- High-level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with particular focus on Excel.
- Proficiency in using Salesforce.
- Professionalism and discretion in handling confidential donor and prospect information.
