KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Recruitment & Selection: Support the full recruitment cycle by coordinating job descriptions, posting vacancies, screening applications, scheduling interviews, preparing candidate communications, conducting reference checks and drafting contracts.
- Onboarding: Facilitate smooth new hire integration by preparing induction packs, coordinating with Payroll, IT and Administration teams, tracking probation reviews and supporting exit processes including clearance and file closure.
- Workforce Planning & Succession Support: Maintain accurate staff databases and vacancy trackers, while preparing manpower data and reports to support workforce planning and budgeting.
- Reporting & Process Improvement: Ensure recruitment data is well-maintained by managing candidate files, trackers and dashboards, as well as preparing weekly and monthly recruitment progress reports for management.
- Employer Branding & Talent Pipelines: Assist in promoting Harley's as an employer of choice by supporting internship, graduate trainee and attachment programmes, engaging with universities, and coordinating career fairs and recruitment campaigns.
- Compliance & Policy: Safeguard compliance by ensuring that all recruitment activities meet Kenyan labour laws and our client policies and data protection requirements, while maintaining strict confidentiality of employee and candidate records.
- Service Excellence in Recruitment: Deliver a responsive and professional recruitment service by supporting hiring managers, escalating bottlenecks and maintaining strong relationships with candidates, agencies and other stakeholders.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations, Psychology, or a related field.
- CHRP or equivalent HR certification is required.
- Membership in IHRM or a regional HR professional body is required.
- At least 5 years of proven experience in Human Capital, including a minimum of 2 years focused on recruitment or talent acquisition. Experience with graduate and internship programmes is desirable.
- Experience with HRIS and ATS systems.
- Proficient in interviewing, using assessment tools, and conducting competency-based recruitment.
- Strong reporting and analytical skills e.g. recruitment metrics and dashboards.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills coupled with a high level of integrity.
