We are seeking a dynamic Projects Associate to assist cross-functional strategic initiatives that drive growth, innovation, and operational excellence across the company. This role is critical in coordinating and executing high-impact projects in close collaboration with department heads—spanning Manufacturing, Sales, Marketing, Finance, HR, and Supply Chain. You will be the central hub for project execution, ensuring alignment with company priorities and acting as a strategic partner to senior leadership.

• Project Management Office (PMO) Oversight:

Establish, maintain, and continuously improve PMO standards, tools, templates, and reporting structures. 

Manage timelines, budgets, and resources effectively to meet product development goals.

• Projects Leadership and Execution:

Assist in leading and drive mission-critical, cross-functional projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring timely delivery, within scope and budget.

• AI Tools Integration:

Identify and implement AI-powered tools and platforms to improve entire company processes operational efficiency, data-driven decision-making, and project management processes.

• Collaboration & Communication:

Be a master collaborator—facilitating alignment between departments, managing competing priorities, and ensuring strong inter-departmental communication.

• Leadership Engagement:

Work closely with senior leaders on key strategic initiatives, ensuring visibility, buy-in, and clear reporting on progress and impact.

• Risk Management & Problem Solving:

Anticipate risks, develop mitigation plans, and resolve project-related issues in real time. 

• Performance Tracking & Reporting:

Develop dashboards and progress trackers using PMO and AI tools to provide regular status updates to leadership.

• Market Intelligence & Insights

Conduct market research to understand Business Opportunities, customer pain points to address any unmet needs and gaps in the market.

Work closely with Marketing and sales teams to ensure new products are positioned effectively in the marketplace.

Analyze and act on feedback from customers, suppliers, and internal teams to refine products and ensure competitive advantage.

• New Business Development:

Work with the various functional leads to identify new business opportunities across all the product categories.

Identify and explore potential mergers, acquisitions, or licensing opportunities to strengthen the company’s product portfolio.

• Continual Improvement Initiatives and Industry Representation:

Champion continual improvement initiatives by driving a culture of innovation and excellence.

Engage key stakeholders in Continual Improvement initiatives, fostering collaboration and ownership.

• Market Research and Feasibility Analysis:

Conduct market research to identify potential new markets
Analyse market data to assess the feasibility of new product launches.
Develop comprehensive business plans for promising new ventures.

• At least 1-2 years’ experience in project management, and managing cross-functional projects. 
• Proven experience in a Beverage company or FMCG within East Africa is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to lead enterprise-wide, cross-functional projects in fast-paced environments.
• Intermediate command of modern PMO tools (e.g., Monday.com, Asana, Trello, Microsoft Project).
• Proficiency in leveraging AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Notion AI, Tableau/Power BI, automation platforms like Zapier).

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Highly adaptable and resilient—comfortable managing multiple priorities and shifting objectives.
