In this pivotal role, you will:
- Lead programme strategy and implementation, ensuring alignment with LM International’s vision, mission, and strategic objectives.
- Oversee partnerships and donor relations, enhancing collaboration with national partners and expanding our donor network.
- Ensure programme quality and compliance, driving innovation, learning, and documentation for continuous improvement.
- Manage budgets and reporting, ensuring financial accountability and transparency across all projects.

We’re looking for someone who combines strategic thinking with hands-on experience in programme management, partnership development, and donor engagement. Your main responsibilities will include:
- National co-ordination and stakeholders’ dialogue. Ensure engagement at meetings that will foster and promote strategic relationships and expand the visibility of LM International, such as PBO Forum, Government/UN/donor coordination meetings;
- Strategic Communication and national media relations. To effectively communicate the LM Vision, Mission, Core Values and Programme objectives, both within and outside the country programme. This includes being the country representative in the country programmme;
- Protocol and external relations. To establish sound, strategic working relationships and cooperative arrangements with Government Authorities, national and international partners, private sector actors, innovators, community and faith-based actors, and support organisations, and present the programmes and values of the organisation to the public.
- Growth and development. Development of new innovative programme initiatives and securing funds through the preparation and submission of funding applications and proposals to both local and international donor.
Essential Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience working in INGOs, with experience in strategic planning as well as program and proposal development including senior program management.
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Kiswahili is mandatory
- Familiarity and experience working with Sida, DANIDA, EU, ECW, FCDO, BMZ, GIZ
- Strong skills in working in and leading a diverse team
- Extensive experience with Core Humanitarian Standards (CHS), Human Rights Based Approach (HRBA), Grand Bargain and localisation, program development, implementation, and comprehensive monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning (MEAL)
- Financial management experience, including budgeting and reporting
- Experience of acting as official spokesperson and to handle social and national media relations
- Extensive experience in writing and reviewing grant proposals and reports
- High proficiency in computer programs such as Office365 including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and mobile apps.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Master’s degree within any of the areas of development studies, human rights studies, international relations, public administration, and/or in a technical area linked to one of our thematic priorities.
- Experience with water and education will be an added advantage
- Experience with Lime CRM is an advantage.
- Previous experience from faith-based organisations grounded on Christian values.
