Duties and responsibilities at this level will include:
- Collecting and receiving bodies within the hospital and outside through the prescribed procedures;
- Recording bodies received;
- Washing the bodies, embalming, and refrigeration;
- Scrubbing and assisting in post mortems;
- Counselling the relatives and
- Releasing the bodies to the relatives as per the laid procedures.
Requirements for appointment
- Be a Kenyan citizen;
- Possess a Certificate in mortuary science;
- At least three (3) years of relevant work experience in a busv mortuar or a reputable Funeral Home:
- Attained a mean grade of D (Plain) at Kenva Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE);
- Training in embalming and grief counseling:
- Good interpersonal and communication skills and
- Strong English and Swahili language skills.
