About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the mechanical operations of our state-of-the-art manufacturing unit. The role requires an expert in industrial production machinery, fabrication processes, and mechanical systems, with hands-on experience in leading teams in production, structural fabrication, welding, painting, and assembly/installation. The ideal candidate will ensure maximum equipment efficiency, structural safety, and continuous improvement in our production workflow.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all mechanical aspects of the production process, including manufacturing machines, equipment, fabrication, welding stations, and mechanical tools.
- Lead the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical systems to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules.
- Design and supervise mechanical systems for optimizing manufacturing processes, designing and maintaining automated machinery, and ensuring efficient production workflows
- Process Optimization: analyzing existing production processes and identifying areas for improvement through automation and streamlining.
- Equipment Design and Development: designing, developing, and testing automated systems, machinery, and robotic components.
- Automation Implementation: overseeing the installation, integration, and commissioning of automated systems in production facilities.
- Maintenance and Troubleshooting: ensuring the functionality and reliability of automated equipment through regular maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Quality Control: implementing quality control measures within automated production lines to ensure products meet required standards.
- Project Management: managing automation projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation;
- Coordinate with external service providers and vendors for equipment procurement, servicing, or technical upgrades.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Mechatronic Engineering (Master’s degree or additional certifications in industrial engineering or manufacturing is a plus).
- Minimum 8years post-graduation experience in mechanical engineering, with at least 4 years in a supervisory or Senior mechanical engineering role, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Mandatory hands-on experience in production supervision, wielding and fabrication;
- Experience designing, developing, and implementing automated systems within manufacturing and production environments
- Strong knowledge of structural design, mechanical systems, automation, and materials used in fabrication and installation.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and diagnostic tools.
