For appointment, a candidate must have:

  • a Bachelors’ Degree in Human Resource Management/Development or equivalent qualification from a university recognized in Kenya; 

OR

  • a Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following fields; Public Administration, Sociology, Business Administration or its equivalent qualification plus Diploma in Human Resource Management from a university recognized in Kenya; and 
  • a thorough understanding of relevant legislation, policy guidelines, best practices and emerging issues in Human Resource Management and Development.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • preparing briefs on human resource management and development issues emanating from MDAs and the Commission;
  • drafting general correspondences on human resource management matters;
  • maintaining and managing records; 
  • preparing board reports/briefs;
  • participating in formulation of human resource policies, regulations and guidelines for the public service; and 
  • assisting in collection, collation and analysis of human resource management & development data from MDAs and the Commission
