For appointment, a candidate must have:
- a Bachelors’ Degree in Human Resource Management/Development or equivalent qualification from a university recognized in Kenya;
OR
- a Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following fields; Public Administration, Sociology, Business Administration or its equivalent qualification plus Diploma in Human Resource Management from a university recognized in Kenya; and
- a thorough understanding of relevant legislation, policy guidelines, best practices and emerging issues in Human Resource Management and Development.
Duties and Responsibilities
- preparing briefs on human resource management and development issues emanating from MDAs and the Commission;
- drafting general correspondences on human resource management matters;
- maintaining and managing records;
- preparing board reports/briefs;
- participating in formulation of human resource policies, regulations and guidelines for the public service; and
- assisting in collection, collation and analysis of human resource management & development data from MDAs and the Commission
