About the Client:
Our client is a leading organization in the healthcare sector, dedicated to providing quality and patient-centered medical services. The Human Resource Officer will play a key role in supporting HR operations across various healthcare units by ensuring effective staffing, compliance with Labour and healthcare regulations, and promoting a positive workplace culture. The position requires an individual with strong HR experience and a solid understanding of the unique demands of a healthcare environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for all HR-related queries and provide day-to-day HR support to employees and management.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, contracts, and HR documentation.
- Support recruitment activities including job posting, shortlisting, scheduling interviews, and onboarding new staff.
- Balance the manpower staffing levels Permanent, Contract, and Locum Staff for the respective units to ensure operational efficiency.
- Assist in the implementation of HR policies, procedures, and programs in alignment with company objectives.
- Coordinate employee performance appraisal processes and track performance improvement actions.
- Participate in staff training coordination, employee engagement initiatives, and welfare activities.
- Prepare HR reports, leave summaries, and payroll change documentation for review.
- Ensure compliance with Kenyan labour laws, HR standards, and company policies.
- Support disciplinary and grievance procedures by maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR systems and processes.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Higher Diploma or CHRP certification is an added advantage.
- Experience in Healthcare sector is preferred
- At least 3 years of progressive experience in an HR function within a busy organization.
- Registered and active member of the Institute of Human Resource Management IHRM.
- Good knowledge of Kenyan Employment Laws and HR best practices.
- Proficiency in HR information systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
