Job Summary
Reporting to the Managing Director & CEO, the position is responsible for establishing and implementing the company’s financial strategy and policies to ensure compliance, financial sustainability, and overall corporate health.
Job Description
- Develop and oversee strategic initiatives and Service Level Agreements for Finance
- Manage financing needs by establishing optimal funding structures.
- Oversee financial reporting to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Guide budgeting processes and ensure adherence to financial covenants.
- Provide accurate cost data to support cost reduction and tariff decisions.
- Submit periodic departmental and government reports for decision-making.
- Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
- Approve departmental procurement requests in line with regulations.
- Establish and monitor internal controls to mitigate financial risks.
- Lead policy development to improve operational efficiency.
- Oversee staff performance, motivation, training, and development.
Person Specifications
- At least 15 years’ experience in finance management, 5 Five of which should be at Senior Management level in a large organization.
- Master’s degree in commerce, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in commerce Accounting/Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or equivalent.
- Professional Certification: CPA Part III, ACCA, CFA, or equivalent.
- Registration: Member of ICPAK or relevant professional body.
- Leadership course minimum 4 weeks from a recognized institution.
- Strong knowledge of public financial management policies and regulations.
- Meets Chapter Six constitutional requirements.
