Finance Manager Job

Oversee all financial operations of our fast-paced events companies. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, business acumen, and the ability to support event budgeting, forecasting, and overall financial planning. This role is critical in helping the company maintain liquidity, profitability, manage risk, and make informed decisions for sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting
- Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and cash flow planning.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, etc.).
- Analyse financial data to provide actionable insights and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Maintain accurate and timely financial records in compliance with local regulations and accounting standards.
Event Costing & Budget Control
- Collaborate with general managers, accountants and team leads to develop event-specific budgets.
- Oversee the tracking and monitoring of event expenses, ensuring all costs are within approved limits.
- Perform post-event financial analysis to assess profitability and identify areas for

Cash Flow & Treasury
- Monitor daily cash flow and manage banking relationships.
- Oversee accounts receivable and payable to ensure timely collections and payments.
- Manage vendor payments, staff reimbursements, and payroll coordination.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, statutory filings, and audits.
- Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities.
- Implement internal controls and risk management practices.
Leadership & Team Collaboration
- Supervise and mentor the company accountants.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with production, marketing, sales, and operations teams.
- Provide financial input during strategic planning, pricing, and contract negotiations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).
- Professional certification e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA is an advantage.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in financial management, preferably within the events industry.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis.
- Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Zoho Books).
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, especially during event seasons.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with various stakeholders.
- Experience working in a project-based or creative services business model.
- Understanding of budgets, vendor negotiations, and event lifecycle costing
