For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: -

• A Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or its equivalent and relevant qualification from a university recognized in Kenya; and
• Been registered by the Engineers Board of Kenya EBK as a Graduate Engineer

Duties and Responsibilities
This is the entry and training grade for the cadre.  The officer at this level will work under the supervision and guidance of a senior officer. Duties and responsibilities at this level will include: -

• Designing
• Preparation drawings; and
• Supervision of construction of civil and structural works for simple projects
