Is responsible for diagnosing, preventing, and treating oral health conditions to improve patients’ dental hygiene and overall, wellbeing. This role involves performing routine check-ups, restorative procedures, and educating patients on proper oral care.
- Bachelor’s degree in dental surgery from a recognized university
- Registered and with a valid license from the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council.
- Certificate in Basic Life Support BLS,
- At least one year of post-internship experience in either a public or private hospital.
- Knowledge of infection prevention and control practices.
- Knowledge of healthcare policies, documentation, and reporting procedures.
- Proficiency in computer skills especially Health Management Information Systems.
Desirable competencies
- Strong clinical decision-making and patient management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of the laws of Kenya, regulations, guidelines, and health schemes.
- Excellent report writing skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with staff, patients, and other stakeholders.
