Responsible for delivering preventive, promotive, and basic curative oral health services, especially in community and rural settings, while observing the acceptable standards of operation.
Academic Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Community Oral Health from a recognized institution.
- Registration with a valid license from the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council KMPDC
- Minimum of two 2 years’ post-internship experience
- Certificate in Basic Life Support BLS
- Experience in community outreach programs, school dental health programs, or mobile dental clinics is an added advantage.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of dental hygiene, oral health, and infection prevention and control.
- Proficiency in computer skills especially Health Management Information Systems.
Desired Competencies
- Ability to perform basic dental procedures examinations, extractions, prophylaxis, fluoride application.
- Strong knowledge of oral disease prevention, health education, and community mobilization.
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with industry advancements.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, especially with rural or underserved populations.
