Our client is a leading paint manufacturing firm dedicated to delivering high-quality paints and innovative solutions to their customers. They are seeking to hire a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable Specialist / Credit Controller to manage the company’s receivables, ensuring timely collection of outstanding invoices and maintaining strong relationships with customers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring account balances, resolving billing issues, and enforcing credit policies to minimize financial risks while maximizing cash flow.

Responsibilities
- Updating and tracking customer’s accounts as per the agreed terms of trade
- Assess the creditworthiness of potential and existing Customers by analyzing financial statements, credit reports, and payment history.
- Establish and periodically review credit limits for customers based on their credit risk profiles.
- Reconciliation and Aging Analysis: perform periodic debtors reconciliation
- Work with the inventory accountant to reconcile finished goods and ensure all sales are accurately recorded and invoiced.
- Monitor accounts receivable aging reports to identify overdue accounts and prioritize collection efforts
- Ensure adherence to financial regulations and internal policies regarding credit and collections.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts receivable, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of financial regulations, tax compliance, and ERP systems.
- Proficiency in accounting software preferably SAGE.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines with high attention to detail.
