Our client in the tours and travel industry is recruiting an accountant.

SALARY: 60,000

• Manage payroll and statutory deductions.
• Prepare and file tax returns.
• Accurate record keeping and accounts reconciliation.
• Review contracts and process payments.
• Manage budgets and cash flows.
• Stay up-to-date with accounting legislation.
• Prepare and analyze financial records and statements.
• Oversee banking operations and reconcile bank statements.
• Record daily financial transactions and maintain accurate ledgers
• Conduct bank, supplier, and customer reconciliations
• Monitor cash flow, receivables, and payables
• Prepare monthly financial and management reports
• Ensure statutory compliance (VAT, PAYE, NHIF, NSSF)
• Assist with internal controls, audits, and financial documentation
• Collaborate with operations for cost tracking and revenue reporting

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience as an Accountant within a Tours & Travel company
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage)
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• High level of integrity and ability to work independently
• Previous experience in the travel industry is required.

• Proficiency in QuickBooks.
• Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint proficiency.
• Good in data analysis and interpretation.
