Overview

The Access Manager will play an important role in the HIV programme in both paediatric HIV and advanced HIV disease. He will be involved in the coordination, project management, and documentation of the projects throughout all stages of the development process, with particular focus on the access and implementation activities. As a Access Manager he or she will be expected to maintain frequent interaction with Access Leader Viral initiative, Head of HIV Disease, country teams such as DRC HIV/AHD teams and other relevant team members involved in the project(s).

Responsibilities

  • Build and deliver access project workplans by coordinating with different DNDi departments (finance, planning, legal, fundraising) and externally with project partners and project leads.
  • Work closely with project teams in countries ensuring that relevant contracts are in place, expenses are spent according to budget and project milestones are achieved.
  • Present on project plans and updates as needed internally and externally with donors/ project partners.
  • Contribute to the communications strategy of the HIV program
  • Support fundraising on communication of project plan, access plans and reporting with donors
  • Organise stakeholders meeting(s) and other access event as needed
  • To sensitise relevant HIV stakeholders of DNDi programs and maintain productive relationships by projecting the image of DNDi as a credible partner
  • Monitor project execution on site level as needed and provide necessary guidance to course correct
  • Take lead in organizing team meetings and support in follow-up actions
  • Support in developing project reports as required internally and by the donor

Reporting line & Interactions

  • Access Manager reports to the Access Leader
  • Head of HIV Disease as contributing manager

Experience and Education

  • Minimum 8 years' relevant experience in which at least 4 years in a similar role
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and matrix structure
  • Experience of working in public and private sector is highly desirable
  • Advanced post graduate degree or graduate degree with equivalent in experience to reach Master level

Other requirements

  • Fluency in English
  • French intermediate level for speaking is desirable
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Suite
